Next Meetup and August Meetup Report

August 21st, 2008

Hello all!

Last Sunday’s meetup was absolutely fantastic. Had to be the most people we’ve had yet. The Broad Ripple Brew Pub was excellent for the meetup and gave us excellent drinks, provided we paid for them. We produced a pretty good Jam comic as well. You can see it above or by clicking here. Thanks to Dan Alexander for coming all the way out from Bloomington, we always have a blast. Was great to see Wayne, Bob and Ron who are solid regulars at these IWG meetups. Jeff Himes made it out to his second ever meetup. Keep it up Jeff I love having you at these things. Sam, especially since she’s in the middle of switching not only jobs, but whole careers, thank you for coming out. It was great to see Shane Johnson and Scott and Benita Story coming out to their first meetups ever. Welcome, and we hope to see you again at many more meetups. Was great to see Ed as well and thank you Ed for padding our turnout numbers by bringing your wife Nancy. I’m kidding, Nancy is a good friend and is always welcome. I don’t think I missed anybody. We had an awesome meetup and I can’t wait for the next one.

We also have new pictures from the meetup in our photo album you can find in the sidebar over on the right. Or you can click here. So, When can everyone get together again? Prime candidates for the next meetup date are either Sunday, September 14th or Sunday, September 21st. Which is better for everyone? And where do we want to hold it? South Side? West Side? Cookout? Pub? What do you want people?

And as for the meetup after that, there’s something cool happening in October:

Brought to our attention by Mr. Ed Cho, who I believe has a few friends of his involved with the event. It sounded like a few of you thought it might be fun to attend so we could make a trip to this show as our Meetup for October. All those in favor?

A few of us will also be attending Mid-Ohio Con which happens earlier that month so that’s also open for more to attend, carpool, have good time in Columbus.

That’s it for now,

-Lee
