History of Political Cartooning

March 19th, 2008

george-washington-car.jpgRon just alerted me to this event. Some of you will most likely find this interesting. I’m certainly planning on attending.

Wednesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Central Library

Join political caricaturist Lee Sauer as he traces the roots of political cartooning from France to Britain to America. Sauer, twice named “Best Weekly Political Cartoonist” in the state of Indiana by the Hoosier State Press Association, will illustrate his talk with original drawings on a dry erase board.

Sauer also will have copies of his books and artwork available for purchase. Call 275-4099 for more information about this free Library program.

I’m not above a road trip though. Please, feel free to share if events pop up in your neck of the woods. I’m game for anything. :)
